Typhoid fever is a bacterial contamination that can spread all through the body. affected many organs. It’s caused by a bacterium called Salmonella typhi, which is related to the bacteria that cause salmonella food poisoning.

Typhoid is caused by microscopic organism salmonella typhi bacteria. It is spread through food, drink, and drinking water that are contaminated with infected fecal matter.

The microscopic bacteria inter the human body through the contaminated food and water, where it than goes into the intestinal cell of the human body. Later it goes through the bloodstream and destroy the lymphatic system and spreads throughout the body. This bacteria is mainly carried by the white blood cells present in the liver and also the bone marrow. These they multiply and re-enter the blood cell, with in turn causes the number of symptoms to appear in the later stages.

Symptoms of Typhoid

Symptoms of typhoid such as:

  • Sustained high fever (39-40 degree celcius)
  • Weakness
  • Diarrhea or Constipation
  • Stomach pain
  • Cough
  • Vomiting

Treatment of Typhoid

Anti-microbial (antibiotic) treatment is the main treatment for typhoid fever.

  • Drinking fluids:

    Typhoid fever may cause vomiting and diarrhoea that might lead to several dehydration. To prevent dehydration, keep sipping on fluids. Staying hydrated also help in the timely elimination of waste materials and toxins from the body.

ORS is the best solution to combat the dehydration caused by typhoid fever. Part of water, have fruit juices, coconut water, and soups.

  • Surgery:

    Assuming your digestive tracts (intestine) become torn, you need surgery to repair the hole.
